"Bobu let's go! The War Council meets in 20 minutes." Bobu had forgotten the rousing speech he gave the night before at the local izakaya to much applause where he agreed (perhaps even suggested) that he would lead the Earth domain to victory.

Nobody really knew how old Bobu was, he had been living alone on the unkempt bean farm as long as anyone could remember. On this hazy morning bobu had drawn something in the sand with the end of his lantern pole. If you looked carefully it resembled a map of Hilumia, but maybe it was just the location of next season’s bean plantings.

People came in droves when Bobu’s DJ sets were announced in stealth. “Bobu, Bobu” the crowd chanted his name to the captivating beats of his turntable.

Returning from space the man was like a rockstar. If he could survive out there, leading the Earth domain would be a cake walk

Bobu the Magnificent is performing one of his famous “magic shows,” but there is no stage for his performance. He stands on a deserted plain. After taking a swig of his sake, he says, “For my next trick, I will cut a man in half!” Enemy soldiers from other domains can be seen fleeing in the background.)

Late at night, the moon shines over a scene of what was once raucous partying, but is beginning to wind down. The dark glow dimply illuminates many of the party goers showing them to be well into their glasses, some even passed out. Many of the lanterns that were set about the party have dimmed or are completely out as their fuel is near to empty. Bobu is reaching for the last full bottle of sake among the strewn piles of empties, but is looking away distracted by a scream close by, and wanting in to see the source of the commotion. He's generally tipsy and teetering on his perch, and as his finger gingerly touches the bottle, an electric shock lights Bobu up. Denmu (the lightning Domain bat) is being shewed away from the party by someone yelling at him and holding a broom. The bat can be see leering at Bobu, smirking greedily. He is of course, the source of of the electric shock.

Bobu sits in the morning light, his posture now "humbled" but resolute. He has taken up his carving tools, channeling the chaotic energy of his nightmare into a singular, focused act of creation. We see a close-up of his steady hands "infusing his essence" into the symbols upon the marbled beauty of the battle staff before him.

Bobu sits on the engawa of his simple home overlooking the rice fields and the rising sun beyond. A bottle of untapped sake sits on the table by his side. Apparently asleep, he doesn’t seem to notice the shadow fall across him as the shape of a massive warrior clad in an intricately embroidered brown and gray gi lumbers onto the porch from inside the home. “It’s time, Sir…” the burly man rumbles. Inhaling deeply as he reaches for the bottle, Bobus eyes crack a fraction to look up into his newly appointed body guard’s dour face. “The time is never right for war.”

Shao: Surrounded by a million Foamback crabs, mirage frogs, and Mizuki. Shao uses her ability to use water to reduce damage from enemies. Bobu: walks up to a Stone Masked Giant with a booboo. He puts a bandaid on the booboo and gives the giant a forehead kiss
